Naing Naing's innovative, clever, and often humorous music is constructed through the intricate weaving together of samples of largely "non-musical" sounds such as animal noises, clinking ice cubes, and footsteps into danceable pop miniatures that are a true joy to experience. This release captures live performances that have an exceptional spontaneity considering the music's foundation in samples: Naing Naing achieves this through the use of a remarkable MIDI guitar setup that blasts away any image of a sole dude hunched over a sampler and replaces it with one of a technically accomplished musician engaged in a highly physical, energetic performance system.
